Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Position Summary
Summary:
The Parent Child Education/Lactation Center Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of an effective Parent/Child Education and Lactation Program within the organization. In addition, the Manager assumes an active role, representing MSSN, in the promotion of the program within the community. The purpose of the Parent/Child Education and Lactation Programs is to meet the needs of families in both normal and special situations and to promote practices that foster the optimal growth and development of infants.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
Education Required
Must complete in-house orientation program
Must complete internal Nursing Orientation program
Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Professional Nursing
BSN and MA or MS in Nursing or healthcare-related major
Experience And Skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Speaks, reads and writes English
Minimum 3 years of perinatal/neonatal nursing and/or IBCLC clinical experience , baby friendly experience preferred
Effective verbal and written communication
License/Certifications
Current and valid New York State registration authorizing practice as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN)
Certifications required:
IBCLC (International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant) required by end of probationary period
BLS (all RNs)
NRP (perinatal RNs)
