Job Description

The Role
  • Support attorneys and cross-function working groups involved in fund formation, maintenance, and regulatory matters throughout the fund lifecycle, including facilitating communications, coordinating deliverables, and managing timelines.
  • Assist with reviewing, updating, and tracking various agreements, including NDAs, investment management agreements, and service provider agreements.
  • Prepare first drafts of standard amendments, ancillary documentation, certificates, and other routine legal documents for attorney review.
  • Perform legal research, analysis, and assist with ad hoc special projects.
  • Independently manage projects, exercise sound judgment, identify issues requiring attorney escalation, and help drive matters to completion.
  • Assist with inquiries and requests from business units, including interfacing with the Risk, Compliance, Operations, Client Relations and Product Strategy teams.
  • Coordinate responses to KYC/AML and other due diligence requests for Institutional accounts, CITs, and domestic and international funds.
  • Coordinate board and committee governance processes, including preparing agendas, meeting materials, minutes and corporate records, facilitating written consents, and supporting regulatory filings.
  • Interact regularly with senior business leaders, outside counsel, service providers, and fund trustees/directors in support of governance and strategic initiatives.


Qualifications

The Requirements
  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working in financial services, particularly asset management. Corporate governance experience would be an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and a self-starter with problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management skills, sound judgment and analysis, and an ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to unexpected events, prioritize and multi-task in a deadline driven environment.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to research, ask questions, and develop a deep understanding of new topic areas.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $80,000.00-$95,000.00 USD annually. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
