Full Job Description
JOB TITLE

Paint Process Engineering

WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Set the various targets in the paint plant and make activities to achieve the targets of the paint plant. And oversee development and achievement of them.
(Targets: Number of units produced, Quality index & HPV, etc.) * HPV: Hour Per Vehicle
• Analyze production and quality data, improve the productivity and car paint quality.
• Analyze production rate of operation and make activities for operation improvement.
• Review items for supplementary investment to improve the paint plant or process and the cost and run.
• Coordinate and supervise the work of operators; provide them with feedback on performance. (Include training and managing Team members)
• Report the progress of major tasks to a superior or expatriate coordinator.
• Report to the immediate superior (or expatriate coordinator) and/or other related production lines if any product or process nonconformity is detected.
• Follow the policies or procedures of HMGMA.
• Manage the construction progress schedule of the paint plant.
• Preparing for the input of new models in paint plant. (Facility modification, tool preparation etc.)
• Oversee inspect and manage new model project progress.
• Performs events for new vehicle development and Prepare production operations.
(facility/employee, etc.)
• Management for installing new facility about new technology and trial run.
• Management for replacing existing old facility and trial run.
(Main facilities and conveyor system, robot, and automation system)
• Analyze production and quality data during new car production, make countermeasures for quality and productivity enhancement.
• Reporting major issues occurring in paint plant (making report materials needed)
• Review purchase specifications for production of new vehicle, and run.
(Including transportation/customs clear
• Promotes changes in process through analyses and improve processes, seeing to the rectification of the tools used in order to optimize the manufacturing process.
(HPV, Automation, Outsourcing, etc.)
• Develop strategies to reduce costs and perform cost reduction activities.
(Labor costs, Material costs, Management costs, Energy savings, Improvement of inefficient
work, etc.)
• Search and support the new level of control and new methods of others.
• Develop recruitment planning for paint plant member and performs.
• Develop and implement an employee training plan.
• Improve the environment of the paint plant and prevent safety accidents.
• Taking action safety regulation issues.
• Build a good rapport with other manufacturing units for effective communication.
• Strengthen organizational power through communication among employees.
• Provide guidance and assistance to technicians at a lower level.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
• Bachelor's degree (mechanical, chemical, material Engineering majors)
• 2+ years of job-related experience
• Experience using Microsoft Office products or equivalent applications.
• Deep understanding of external markets and current trends
• Extensive knowledge and experience in data analysis and developing proposals.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require company-approved sponsorship for this position now or in the future.
• Must communicate with H /KMC employees on business.
• Job experience related to the automotive industry (Automotive paint plant)
• Working experience of managing projects related with paint facilities, conveyor system, robot.
• Preference given to those who are fluent in Korean.
Travel requirement
• Domestic/international travel required.

Physical Demands
While in Office:
This position is primarily sedentary and requires working at a desk and computer for extended periods. Responsibilities may include:

When in Production Area (if applicable):
• Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended durations

• Working in environments that may be noisy, hot, or require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Ability to climb ladders or stairs and operate equipment safely and effectively
• Capability to learn and work on multiple production processes, as required
• Adequate visual and auditory abilities to identify safety hazards and communicate clearly
• Consistent and punctual attendance
• Ability to collaborate and perform effectively in a team-oriented environment
