Paid Media Manager

**Only local Chicagoland candidates will be considered for this role** Hybrid 3 days in office.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Paid Media Manager to lead paid acquisition strategy across Montway Auto Transport and its subsidiary brands. This role will serve as the internal owner of paid media strategy and performance, acting as the primary point of contact for our external agency while helping shape a long-term acquisition strategy that aligns with business goals across search, affiliate, and broader digital marketing channels.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in paid search, strong analytical and strategic thinking, and experience managing complex lead generation programs with significant budgets. This person should be comfortable challenging agency recommendations, identifying growth opportunities, improving attribution, and partnering cross-functionally with SEO, affiliate, analytics, content, and development teams.

Responsibilities
  • Own paid search and paid acquisition strategy across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and other performance marketing channels
  • Lead and manage the relationship with the external PPC agency, ensuring accountability, strategic alignment, and performance improvements
  • Develop full-funnel paid media strategies focused on lead quality, efficiency, revenue growth, and long-term scalability
  • Partner closely with SEO and affiliate marketing teams to ensure channel alignment, reduce overlap, and maximize overall search visibility and acquisition performance
  • Collaborate with SEO on landing page strategy, keyword targeting, search intent alignment, and SERP-level opportunities
  • Work alongside affiliate partners and internal stakeholders to evaluate traffic quality, attribution, incrementality, and partnership opportunities
  • Analyze campaign performance, attribution models, conversion paths, and customer acquisition trends across brands
  • Improve reporting and tracking accuracy across GA4, Salesforce, Google Tag Manager, and advertising platforms
  • Identify opportunities to reduce wasted spend, improve ROAS, and increase conversion efficiency
  • Evaluate new paid acquisition channels, automation tools, audience strategies, and AI-driven opportunities
  • Create executive-level reporting and communicate performance insights, risks, and opportunities to leadership
  • Support budget planning, forecasting, and long-term growth strategy across Montway and subsidiary brands

Qualifications
  • 4-6+ years of experience managing PPC and paid media campaigns in-house or in a strategic leadership role
  • Strong experience managing large-scale Google Ads and Microsoft Ads accounts with meaningful monthly spend
  • Proven experience managing external agencies and holding partners accountable to performance goals
  • Deep understanding of attribution, conversion tracking, lead generation funnels, and performance optimization
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using GA4, Looker Studio, Google Tag Manager, and CRM-integrated reporting systems
  • Experience collaborating closely with SEO, affiliate, analytics, and content teams within a larger acquisition strategy
  • Familiarity with enterprise CMS/CRM environments, including Salesforce ecosystems, is preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly with executives and translate performance data into business recommendations
  • Experience in highly competitive lead generation industries is strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
  • Experience working with affiliate partners to support acquisition strategy, evaluate traffic quality, and align cross-channel performance efforts
