Description

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director, Imaging IT & Support, the PACS Administrator works within a team responsible for the administration and support of PACS and related imaging technologies, teleradiology workflows, device connectivity, and image routing. This position supports remote radiologists and point-of-service implementation teams while helping maintain reliable, efficient imaging operations across the organization.

The PACS Administrator combines strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills with clear communication, customer service, and ownership of issues through resolution. The role also works collaboratively with radiologists, internal teams, and vendors to troubleshoot technical issues, identify recurring problems, improve workflows, and support the ongoing optimization of imaging systems and processes.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple PACS environments, DICOM routers, radiologist reading workstations, and related imaging infrastructure.
  • Design, implement, and optimize image routing and teleradiology workflows to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Support ancillary imaging systems and clinical workflow applications, including configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Provide responsive technical support for radiologists and their systems, including PACS, dictation, viewing applications, reading workstations, and related imaging technology.
  • Support new mammography and ultrasound modality installations, including system connectivity, workflow, and coordination with point-of-service implementation teams.
  • Perform troubleshooting of DICOM, modalities, network, and end-user devices related to imaging
  • Manage image sharing platforms and related integrations.
  • Perform DICOM image migrations
  • Manage and document imaging system configurations, changes, upgrades, and updates.

Education and Experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience in PACS implementation and operations required
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Hologic SecurView experience preferred
  • Exposure to HL7-based workflows and system integrations preferred
