Our head office in Kingsville, ON currently is seeking a Packaging Equipment Manager is accountable for the strategy, performance, and lifecycle management of all packaging equipment across the network. This role owns equipment uptime, capital planning, capability expansion, and the financial management of the equipment portfolio. The Manager partners with Procurement, Equipment Suppliers, and Sourcing to ensure equipment is performing as intended as well as developing, presenting and implementing new equipment needs at Grower sites.

Primary Responsibilities:- Own the packaging equipment roadmap - capability, capacity, automation, and replacement plans.
- Manage equipment performance: uptime, OEE and resolve issues related to packaging equipment.
- Partner with Growers, Procurement and Equipment Suppliers on PM strategy, spare parts, and reliability programs.
- Develop and maintain the grower equipment register for all packaging related equipment
- Evaluate and qualify new equipment technologies; lead automation and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
- Manage OEM and integrator relationships, service contracts, and parts agreements.
- Ensure equipment compliance with safety, GMP, and regulatory standards.
Education/Background Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Packaging Engineering.
- 8+ years of packaging equipment, manufacturing engineering, or capital projects experience in CPG / food / beverage.
- Strong knowledge of filling, sealing, labeling, case packing, palletizing, and end-of-line systems.
- Experience with OEE, and reliability-centered maintenance.
- Financial literacy - capex business cases, payback, NPV, and asset management.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:- Reduce unplanned packaging equipment downtime by establishing a baseline and delivering a measurable year-over-year reduction.
- Deliver capital projects on time and on budget, achieving a minimum of 90% compliance with approved project schedules and budgets.
- Develop and publish a 3-year packaging equipment roadmap covering equipment capability, capacity requirements, lifecycle management, and replacement priorities.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive equipment register for all packaging equipment located at grower sites across Canada, the United States, and Mexico, including equipment condition, age, capacity, criticality, and replacement status.
- Establish a critical spares program for packaging equipment at grower sites, including identification of critical components, stocking requirements, inventory ownership, and replenishment processes.
- Partner with Grower and Procurement teams to implement an automation pilot at a high-labor packaging operation, with defined objectives, success criteria, and recommendations for broader deployment.
