Role description:Arcadis is seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Package Interface Manager to support one of the most iconic and consequential infrastructure initiatives in the United States - the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP). In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing the construction work plans and regular reporting on compliance and environmental permitting requirements.
We are working as the Delivery Partner along with team members and selected by the Gateway Development Commission to deliver this transformative project. The HTP is a critical component of the broader Gateway Program - one of the most ambitious and impactful transportation initiatives in the nation - and is designed to strengthen mobility, enhance resiliency, and ensure the long-term reliability of the Northeast Corridor.
The project encompasses the construction of a new, two-track rail tunnel beneath the Hudson River, along with the full rehabilitation of the existing 113-year-old North River Tunnel. This vital infrastructure supports more than 200,000 daily passengers via Amtrak and NJ TRANSIT and serves as a backbone for economic activity and connectivity between New York and New Jersey.

Role Accountabilities:
- Coordinate and facilitate communication among different project packages, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Act as the central point of contact for package managers and stakeholders regarding interface-related issues.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive interface management plan that outlines the critical interfaces between project packages.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify potential interface challenges and develop proactive solutions.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration between package managers, contractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Organize regular interface meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and resolutions with the goal of optimizing coordination.
- Proactively identify and address potential conflicts or issues arising from interfaces between different project packages.
- Collaborate with package managers to develop and implement solutions that minimize disruptions to the project schedule.
- Manage changes to the project scope or package specifications that may impact interfaces.
- Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to assess the implications of changes and adjust interface plans accordingly.
- Identify and assess potential risks related to package interfaces and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Monitor and report on interface-related risks, ensuring that the project team is informed and prepared to address challenges.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of interface-related activities, including meeting minutes, issue logs, and resolution plans.
- Provide regular progress reports to project management and stakeholders, highlighting interface achievements and challenges.
- Collaborate with contract administrators to ensure that interface-related clauses and requirements are properly documented and adhered to by all relevant parties.
- Support the resolution of contractual disputes related to package interfaces.
- Implement quality assurance measures to ensure that interface activities meet or exceed project standards.
- Conduct regular reviews and inspections to verify the effectiveness of interface management processes.
Required Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience in managing interface coordination and integration on large-scale projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Project
Key Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices.
- Experience in coordinating multiple stakeholders and resolving interface conflicts. Proven experience in interface management on heavy civil construction projects, with a focus on tunnel projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, project management principles, and package interactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills to address complex interface challenges.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic construction environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous.

These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP, 401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $175,000 - $220,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
