Job Description:

The Canada P&O Head plays a critical role in developing and deploying the enterprise and functional People & Organization (P&O) Strategy & Priorities. The Country P&O Head develops and deploys the Unit People plan inclusive of talent, organizational development and culture and performance.

Additionally, the Country P&O Head will play a key role in co-leading many transversal enterprise initiatives to drive overall unit effectiveness and transformative change. As a key successor role the North America P&O Leadership Team, this role may also take on broader North American P&O initiatives from time-to-time.

What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Management or related field.
  • 7+ years of Business Partnership or progressive P&O experience.
  • Solid knowledge of HR practices and understand their application in solving business needs and ability to provide guidance.


Preferred qualifications:
  • 5+ years of progressive P&O and/or leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated capability in deploying strategies at the leadership level and enterprise level.
  • Demonstrated experience using the organizational development life cycle (hypothesis, data, analytics insights, diagnosis, creation of strategy or intervention, deployment, measure and sustain) or other functional equivalent.
  • Demonstrated capability in leading medium scale change management (ex. functional level change initiatives).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills, using a comprehensive approach with strong attention to detail.

What will be your key responsibilities?
  • Partner with the General Manager and Unit Leadership Team to establish and deploy short and long term strategies in the areas of culture, talent, change management and organizational development to drive business success; ensure the people agenda is deployed and effectively actioned while driving a balance of business and associate advocacy across the Market Unit.
  • Use Organizational Development (OD) principles and data analytics to develop and deploy rigorous people plans and strategies that support business growth and associate development/engagement; develop and engage in appropriate OD interventions that strengthen the health of the organization and enable a high performance culture.
  • Work closely with Canada P&O Community, MyP&O and Centers of Expertise (ex. Associate Relations, Rewards, Talent, etc.) to collaboratively design and deploy interventions specific to Segment and Country needs, or to deploy global standard processes.
  • Drive efficiency across the P&O operating model by facilitating the adoption of Mars signature programs, leading and managing unit specific projects, and providing P&O support to functional leaders and Line Managers.
  • Act as a trusted coach and credible partner to the enterprise leadership team, Senior Leaders, Country LMs and Associates.
