WTW is looking for a reserving professional with extensive experience in North America (US, Canada, and Bermuda) insurance and reinsurance to join the North America P&C Reserving Proposition of WTW's Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) business. In this role, you will play a leading part in a globally recognized, industry-leading consulting team, providing high value-added consulting and technology insights to our clients, developing and applying state-of-the art intellectual property, and contributing to the growth of our reserving practice.

The Role

As a senior reserving practitioner, you will:

  • Contribute to and/or lead reserve transformation and process automation engagements focused on implementation and best practice use of ResQ, WTW's reserving technology and Unify, WTW's business process automation technology, providing an excellent client experience, thought leadership, and strategic thinking on critical client business needs
  • Identify, pursue and lead sales opportunities focusing on WTW's suite of reserving products (ResQ, ResQ MLR and Unify); leading demonstrations and coordinating evaluations. Supported by ICT's technology sales team, you will help develop go-to-market strategies; build collateral; and help manage the sales process.
  • Contribute to and/or lead strategic local and global client reserving engagements and relationships, providing an excellent client experience, thought leadership, and strategic thinking on critical client business needs
  • Play a visible external role in the marketplace as a senior practitioner and subject matter expert
  • Foster a community of reserving-focused individuals who are subject matter experts, contributing to the development and mentorship of professionals across the various products and dimensions of the P&C industry
  • Participate in the development and dissemination of thought leadership and technology to drive our leading position in reserving
  • Support strategic go-to-market activities and sales pursuits across the region and globally
  • Collaborate with professionals in other areas of expertise such as capital modeling, underwriting, pricing, claims and capital modeling experts, locally and globally, to create, sell and deliver actuarial and technology solutions to our clients

You will contribute to a profitable and growing North America P&C Reserving proposition

  • Meet individual billable hour and sales targets commensurate with seniority and area of focus
  • Participate fully in the achievement of ICT reserving practice and overall ICT business plan and budget


Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Experience in reserving, reserve transformation and process automation with at least 12 years of relevant experience
  • Deep knowledge of the North America P&C insurance market, including personal lines, commercial lines and reinsurance
  • Ability to build strong relationships, and to influence decision-making at senior levels
  • Self-driven, comfortable navigating ambiguity and developing innovative solutions
  • Practiced in contributing to complex, high-profile projects, and communicating technical insights to non-actuarial executive audiences
  • Available to travel as needed

Preferred Skills and Experiences
  • Associateship or Fellowship in the Casualty Actuarial Society and membership in the American Academy of Actuaries
  • Experience with multinationals and/or global portfolios, and legacy liabilities (e.g., mass torts)
  • Active in relevant professional or trade associations
  • Consulting experience
  • Familiarity with ResQ, WTW's reserving technology and Unify, WTW's business process automation technology

Compensation and Benefits

Benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation

The salary compensation range being offered for this role is $160,000 to $200,000.

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
