BluePearl Pet Hospital in Brooklyn, NY is growing our team and seeking a passionate, experienced Veterinary Technician Supervisor to lead, mentor, and develop our talented veterinary professionals within our Overnight Emergency department.Pay: $32.00 - $51.00 / hour + competitive shift differentials
This pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool.Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum. For example:
- Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = +$4.50/hr. Shift Differential
- Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = +$4.50/hr. Shift Differential
- Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = +$8.00/hr. Shift Differential
As a Veterinary Technician Supervisor, you will...- Serve as a mentor and clinical resource for non-DVM team members by modeling strong work habits, demonstrating effective clinical skills, and applying sound business judgment.
- Coach team members to proactively anticipate and address patient and client needs while recognizing when to seek support for complex or stressful situations.
- Partner with hospital leadership to plan and facilitate Technician and Veterinary Assistant team meetings.
- Coordinate training schedules and development opportunities for Patient Care team members.
- Identify workplace concerns or conflicts and partner with leadership to support timely and effective resolution.
- Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback, collaborating with leadership to develop and implement performance improvement plans when needed.
- Support a positive, collaborative, and high-performing clinical environment through effective communication, teamwork, and accountability.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
