Full Job Description
Are you looking to grow your sales career in an outside sales role where relationships really matter? Weyerhaeuser is hiring a driven Dealer Sales Representative (DSR) to join our Charlotte Distribution sales team and support our Central North Carolina and Southern Virginia markets. In this role, you'll work as part of an experienced, integrated sales team while building strong relationships with customers and growing Weyerhaeuser's business throughout the territory.

Weyerhaeuser is searching for an Outside Sales Representative to support customers throughout Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Apex, surrounding North Carolina markets and southern Virginia. This position must live within the territory. The DSR is an outside sales role responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with building materials dealers and other key customers while promoting Weyerhaeuser Distribution's full portfolio of engineered wood products, commodities, and specialty building products.

Our Inside Sales Representatives are a primary voice of Weyerhaeuser for our customers, and our Dealer Sales Representatives are the face of Weyerhaeuser in the market. As a DSR, you'll spend your time with customers-learning their businesses, earning their trust, identifying opportunities, solving problems, and helping them grow.

You'll also partner closely with a seasoned, high-performing Inside Sales Representative who knows the customers, products, and business and will work alongside you to develop and execute customer strategies.

This role requires a proactive seller who is comfortable asking for the business, developing new opportunities, and growing relationships beyond the existing book of business.

If you're motivated, customer-focused, enjoy building relationships, and want the opportunity to make an impact in your market, this could be a great next step in your sales career.

Primary Responsibilities:

CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS & MARKET PRESENCE
Own and develop the dealer and buyer relationships with assigned customers, serving as a trusted partner and primary face of Weyerhaeuser in the market. Spend meaningful time with customers understanding their businesses, identifying needs, and developing solutions that create value. Establish, cultivate, and protect strong relationships while providing consistent communication, responsiveness, and follow-through.

SALES GROWTH
Profitably grow sales by identifying opportunities within existing accounts and prospecting for new business throughout the territory. Proactively ask for the business, grow Weyerhaeuser's share of wallet, and develop relationships beyond the existing customer base. Promote Weyerhaeuser Distribution's full portfolio and use strong product and market knowledge to influence buying decisions and provide solutions that create value beyond price. Develop and execute customer growth plans, promotions, product launches, training, and market pull-through activities that create incremental sales and strengthen customer partnerships.

TEAM COORDINATION
Partner closely with your Inside Sales Representative to develop and execute customer strategies, follow up on sales opportunities, and resolve customer issues. Collaborate across Customer Service, Inventory, Operations, Suppliers, and other Weyerhaeuser teams to deliver a consistent customer experience. Gather and share market intelligence on customers, competitors, products, pricing, and demand while providing input on product mix, inventory, and market opportunities to support customer and site success.

We manufacture and sell an innovative collection of proven structural framing materials to the residential, multi-family and light commercial markets, and provide seamless building solutions, from design to installation to support. This team moves fast, works smart and never stops pushing to be and stay number one in the industry.
