Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Current Virginia state license or ability to obtain one, along with CPR certification.
• Experience in developing outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation treatment plans.
• Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively in an autonomous environment.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, database software, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop treatment plans based on evaluations.
• Review physician referrals and patient medical records to determine necessary occupational therapy treatments.
• Provide direct patient care according to established protocols.
• Document findings, patient progress, and instructions for patients and caregivers.
• Oversee patient care performed by rehabilitation assistants and technicians.
• Develop and write comprehensive plans of care and set goals based on evaluation.
• Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, colleagues, and insurance companies.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient interactions and reports.
