Department:Job Description Summary:The Department of Medicine is looking for a board-certified or board-eligible Endocrinologist to join our expanding outpatient endocrinology practice. The successful candidate will deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care to patients with endocrine disorders, collaborating closely with primary care physicians, specialists, and other members of the healthcare team.
This is a predominantly outpatient position with little or no inpatient responsibilities, allowing physicians to focus on continuity of care and long-term disease management.
Essential ResponsibilitiesClinical Care- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage adult patients with endocrine disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing current clinical guidelines.
- Interpret endocrine laboratory studies and diagnostic testing.
- Utilize diabetes technologies including:
- Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM)
- Insulin pump therapy
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care for complex endocrine patients.
- Maintain timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
Patient Care Responsibilities- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Educate patients regarding disease processes and treatment options.
- Promote preventive care and chronic disease management.
- Encourage shared decision-making.
Collaboration- Provide consultation and guidance to referring physicians.
Academic Responsibilities- Teach medical students and residents.
- Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary meetings.
- Interest in clinical research and teaching is a plus
- Participate in continuing medical education.
Administrative Responsibilities- Complete medical records in a timely manner.
- Respond to patient communications within established standards.
- Participate in departmental meetings.
- Assist with practice development and growth initiatives.
