Department:

Job Description Summary:

The Department of Medicine is looking for a board-certified or board-eligible Endocrinologist to join our expanding outpatient endocrinology practice. The successful candidate will deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care to patients with endocrine disorders, collaborating closely with primary care physicians, specialists, and other members of the healthcare team.

This is a predominantly outpatient position with little or no inpatient responsibilities, allowing physicians to focus on continuity of care and long-term disease management.

Essential Responsibilities

Clinical Care
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage adult patients with endocrine disorders
  • Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing current clinical guidelines.
  • Interpret endocrine laboratory studies and diagnostic testing.
  • Utilize diabetes technologies including:
    • Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM)
    • Insulin pump therapy
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary care for complex endocrine patients.
  • Maintain timely documentation in the electronic medical record.

Patient Care Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Educate patients regarding disease processes and treatment options.
  • Promote preventive care and chronic disease management.
  • Encourage shared decision-making.

Collaboration
  • Provide consultation and guidance to referring physicians.

Academic Responsibilities
  • Teach medical students and residents.
  • Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Interest in clinical research and teaching is a plus
  • Participate in continuing medical education.

Administrative Responsibilities
  • Complete medical records in a timely manner.
  • Respond to patient communications within established standards.
  • Participate in departmental meetings.
  • Assist with practice development and growth initiatives.
