Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing.
• APRN licensure in Kansas as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric/Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist.
• QMHP designation required.
• Proficient with modern technology including EMRs and telehealth platforms.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development is a must.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychopharmacological services by prescribing medications according to protocols.
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and physical assessments including history-taking and differential diagnoses.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients.
• Monitor and assess patient symptoms as well as medication side effects.
• Act as the primary referral point for medical evaluations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team for integrated care.
• Offer crisis intervention and manage chronic mental health conditions.
• Educate patients and families on prevention strategies and treatment options.
