Job Overview

Lifetime Roof & Solar is seeking an experienced and motivated Deck Production Manager to oversee the successful production and execution of residential and commercial deck projects. This role is responsible for managing projects from post-sale through completion, coordinating crews, scheduling installations, ensuring quality workmanship, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in deck construction, understands a wide range of decking materials and installation methods, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the production and installation of deck projects from start to finish.
  • Schedule and coordinate field crews, subcontractors, inspections, and project timelines.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to company quality standards.
  • Conduct site visits to verify project readiness, resolve production challenges, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Review project plans, measurements, permits, and specifications before construction begins.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of decking materials, including composite, PVC, pressure-treated lumber, cedar, hardwoods, aluminum railing systems, fasteners, and manufacturer installation requirements.
  • Coordinate material orders and deliveries with purchasing and suppliers to ensure projects remain on schedule.
  • Troubleshoot field issues and provide practical solutions while minimizing delays.
  • Maintain accurate production schedules, project documentation, and progress reports.
  • Enforce company safety standards and ensure crews follow OSHA and company policies.
  • Work closely with the sales and design teams to ensure smooth project handoffs and clear communication throughout the construction process.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing residential or commercial deck construction projects, production, or field operations.
  • Strong knowledge of decking products, framing techniques, railing systems, stairs, and manufacturer installation guidelines.
  • Experience working with composite decking, PVC decking, wood decking, aluminum railings, and related building materials.
  • Ability to read construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Excellent scheduling, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership experience managing field crews and subcontractors.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.

Preferred:
  • Knowledge of local building codes and permitting requirements.
  • Experience with CRM or construction management software.
  • OSHA certification or other construction safety training.
