  • Monitor productivity and adhere to budgetary guidelines to achieve operational goals without compromising quality.
  • Schedule workforce daily to optimize staffing and ensure efficient selection, replenishment, and shipment of products.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders to ensure timely pickups of international shipments.
  • Work with customer service to resolve customer concerns and improve KPIs.
  • Enforce safety policies and maintain a culture focused on continuous improvement to ensure safe work practices.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and maintain accurate attendance/PTO records.

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Job Summary
The Supervisor, Warehouse Operations supervises a team of Associates and ensures that pick, pack, and ship operations are safe, efficient, and of high quality. With responsibility for a day or night shift, the Supervisor continually monitors efficiency and quality metrics, assigns work and provides coaching to supervised staff, and addresses a variety of operational issues. The Supervisor directly contributes to Cardinal Health’s customer service reputation by ensuring that shipments are on-time and of high quality, develops the Warehouse Operations talent pool, and enhances operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years supervisor/management role or related experience preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership, engagement, and communication to drive operational excellence.

  • Drive operational excellence by analyzing performance metrics, resolving challenges, and maintaining accuracy and productivity in a fast-paced environment.

  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, SAP, and Kronos to support workforce management, reporting, and daily operations.

  • Demonstrate flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require.

  • Enforce safety policies and regulatory compliance standards to maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage team of 15 warehouse associates to achieve timely distribution and receipt of product and motivate employees to ensure that predetermined productivity and quality standards are achieved.

  • Monitor productivity, adhere to budgetary guidelines, and work to meet Distribution Center objectives and operational goals while maintaining standards pertaining to quality.

  • Responsible for the daily scheduling of the work force to ensure proper staffing to select, replenish, restock, locate and ship merchandise in a productive and cost-efficient manner.

  • Coordinate with freight forwarders to schedule timely pickups of International freight shipments.

  • Collaborate with customer service to address any customer concerns and KPI’s.

  • Hold staff accountable for conducting work in a safe manner, ensure that warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment to perform distribution functions and provide support for a culture that strives toward continuous improvement.

  • Coordinate maintenance of equipment, guiding both preventive maintenance and coordinating all necessary repairs

  • Recommend and implement programs, policies, and strategies to increase production and efficient space utilization

  • Ensure quality service is provided to the customers and ensures prompt follow-through on customer correspondence, complaints and inquiries related to shipment of merchandise and stock-on-hand; Develops and implement modifications and innovations to improve the quality of service to our customers.Adhere to budget requirements and works toward obtaining objectives and division goals.

  • Spends majority of workday on the floor coaching and developing diverse teams by providing feedback on performance, which is timely, specific, and accurate; focuses on strengths and development opportunities.

  • Responsible for employee development, which includes training, coaching, counseling, and performance appraisals.

  • Maintains general responsibility for disciplinary process in counseling, oral and written warnings; insures a productive work climate in the warehouse operation.

  • Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency while providing flawless transactions and services; manage monetary assets and other resources to optimize cost effectiveness.

  • Prepares ad hoc reports as necessary.

  • Ensures that accurate attendance/PTO records and scheduling are maintained.

  • Responsible for Cardinal Health compliance and regulations concerning OSHA, DEA, FDA, State, and local authorities; primary facility contacts for QRA compliance and initiatives.
