Full Job Description
The region is seeking an Otolaryngologist - Head & Neck surgeon who will work with the other local ENT's, to provide specialized medical and surgical care for patients presenting with a wide range of disorders of the head and neck. Demonstrated interest and aptitude in medical education and resident teaching are assets, and an interest in broad general otolaryngology practice is preferred. In addition, the ENT Program provides regional on-call coverage, which is planned to include areas from Langley to Hope.   The successful candidate will initially have two days of OR time per month. This will be expected to become one day a week or more, dependent on Fraser Health resource allocation and waitlists. Options for extra time at publicly funded private surgical centres are also available. High quality outpatient office space is available.   On Call Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take 1:5 or 1:6 call covering ARHCC, Chilliwack General Hospital, Mission Memorial Hospital and smaller surrounding hospitals, with patient transfer to closest available hospital, as appropriate.   Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre (ARHCC) services the Eastern Fraser Valley in the Vancouver/Lower Mainland region of British Columbia.  ARHCC is a dedicated BC Cancer Agency site with specialized head and neck oncology services.  We offer services in orthopedics, urology, obstetrics and gynecology, vascular surgery, oral-maxillofacial surgery, plastics and general surgery.  We have a busy regional intensive care unit, interventional radiology and cardiac care service available on site.   To apply: Please submit your CV, letter of interest, and three reference letters or referee contact names (Please note references required must be professionals with whom you have worked with in the last three years.
