Full Job Description
Woodhull Medical Center, located in Brooklyn, New York, and a NYU Grossman School of Medicine affiliate is seeking a board certified/board eligible full-time orthopedic surgeon to join our hospital-based surgical care team.

The ideal candidate will manage the care of disorders related to musculoskeletal injuries, illnesses, and deformities; looking for general orthopedics/trauma specialty. Develop and deliver treatment plans including prescribed medications and non-surgical treatments; Provide consulting services to other physicians; Assess and coordinate with other healthcare professionals such a physical therapists, radiologists, and anesthesiologists to provide comprehensive patient care; monitor patients health conditions and progress through regular checkups and follow up appointments.

Woodhull's Department of Surgery is a robust division consisting of seven (7) operating rooms with services that include General Surgery, Orthopedics, Bariatrics, Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, Vascular, Podiatry, Urology, Otolaryngology and Ophthalmology. We have modernized our facility with state-of-the-art procedure rooms and operative procedural technology, and more recently extended to provide a full robotics service. We are seeking to expand the orthopedic service by a recruiting a skilled, fellowship trained orthopedists capable of utilizing the full spectrum of equipment to answer and treat any orthopedic conditions. Typical service responsibilities consist of the equivalent of 5 outpatient clinical sessions and 3-4 operative or procedural sessions per week with one session for administrative/academic time and shared call coverage with the other orthopedic surgeons. Physician assistants help in clinic /OR and with consults.

Candidate must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.

We offer a competitive compensation package and a stimulating work environment, which includes the following: as outlined below:
• Annual Base Salary: is $400,000-$440,000
• 403B/457 participation inclusive of a 10% employer contribution with no employee match required
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement ranging from $3000-$3500 inclusive of one week of paid CME time
• Projected annual revenue sharing payments of up to $30,000 contingent upon meeting required productivity and compliance metrics
