Overview
Orthopaedic Advanced Practice Provider

New London Hospital - New London, NH

Dartmouth Health's Department of Orthopaedics is currently seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Associate or Nurse Practitioner) to work primarily at New London Hospital in New London, NH. This APP will work within the clinic seeing the full breadth of Orthopaedic conditions, assisting with pre and postoperative education and ongoing support, performing history and physical examinations, and initiating appropriate diagnostic tests to evaluate the patient's condition. Opportunities to subspecialize will be determined based on candidate's interests and experience.

This is a full-time position, no overnight or weekend responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate appropriate diagnostic tests to evaluate the patient's condition
  • Assess the findings and history, review of systems, physical examination and diagnostic tests
  • Develop implements and manages therapeutic treatment regimens in collaboration with our Orthopedists
  • Perform complete history and physical examinations
  • Provide pre and postoperative education and ongoing support to Orthopaedic patients
  • Promote teamwork and patient centered care


Requirements:
  • BLS certification
  • Current (or eligible) certification to practice as a PA or APRN in NH
  • Successful completion of an approved PA/APRN program
  • National specialty certification as RNFA or certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
