Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Ore Processing Manager at Bald Mountain, the General Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all process operations at the Gold Hill Facility at Round Mountain. This position provides leadership and direction for the Gold Hill ADR plant and refinery while ensuring the highest standards of health and safety, environmental compliance, regulatory adherence, and operational excellence. The General Supervisor is responsible for meeting production targets, optimizing plant performance, and fostering a safe, efficient, and productive work environment. Note: this position will be out of Round Mountain but report to Bald Mountain leadership.

Essential Functions

  1. Meet or exceed production goals in a safe and innovative manner.
  2. Work in cooperation with all departments, being involved in emergency and preventive maintenance activities on equipment and operational coordination to ensure continuity of production process.
  3. Work in cooperation with the environmental department to ensure regulatory compliance.
  4. Provide safe working conditions and ensure that all safety concerns are addressed and resolved.
  5. Administrate, educate, and counsel employees and supervisors in the correct methods, practices, standards and SOPs for Ore Processing (ADR and Refinery).
  6. Lead department projects, short and long term with the purpose of improving the workforce, production efficiencies and cost reduction.
  7. Continually trains on leading Ore Processing ADR and Refinery practices.
  8. Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, confidentiality and code of conduct.
  9. Meets or exceeds established performance expectations set by management.
  10. Consistently exercises discretion and judgment in job performance.
  11. Works without risk or harm to self and others.
  12. Punctuality and regular attendance required.
  13. Helps develop other department personnel to perform duties listed above.
  14. Assume duties of the Process Manager as needed.


Qualifications and Skill Requirements

  1. Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical concepts of ADR, Strip Circuit, and Refinery
  2. Strong understanding of ADR, Refinery fluid hydrodynamics.
  3. General understanding mining, stack plan, and blending operations as well as leaching processes.
  4. Strong leadership skills.
  5. Proven organization skills.
  6. The ability to think analytically, develop and move forwards new ideas to improve the process.
  7. The ability to handle multiple priorities/problems and the same time.
  8. The ability to execute findings and recommendations.
  9. The ability to present BMM policy without bias and with consistency.
  10. The ability to communicate with all levels of personnel.
  11. A college degree is preferred. HS degree with applicable experience will be considered.
  12. 7-10 years mining.
  13. 5 years of experience in ore processing.
  14. 4 Years minimum supervisor experience
  15. Requires valid driver's license.
