Skills & Experience - Extensive hands-on experience administering large-scale Oracle database estates supporting mission-critical production workloads across Silver, Gold, and Platinum service tiers.
- Deep technical expertise in Oracle High Availability and Disaster Recovery, including RAC and Data Guard, failover execution, DR validation, and strict RTO/RPO adherence.
- Proven ownership of Sev-1 / Sev-2 production incidents, including rapid diagnosis, service restoration, Major Incident bridge participation, and leading RCA with preventive actions.
- Advanced Oracle performance engineering skills covering AWR/ASH analysis, wait-event diagnostics, SQL tuning, optimizer behavior, and capacity and growth forecasting.
- Demonstrated capability in backup, restore, and recoverability assurance, including RMAN strategy, restore testing, and audit-ready recovery evidence.
- Hands-on proficiency with Oracle monitoring and management tools, including Oracle Enterprise Manager, for fleet-level health, performance, and availability monitoring.
- Strong experience with Oracle administration utilities, including Oracle SQL Developer, Internet Directory, and Database Gateways, supporting integrated enterprise environments.
- Ability to analyze high-volume operational workloads (access management, backups, provisioning, patching, batch failures) and drive automation and standardization opportunities.
- Experience operating in security- and compliance-driven environments, supporting SOX controls, privileged access governance, audit logging, encryption, and backup/DR compliance.
- Exposure to collaborating within ServiceNow AIOps / Event Manager environments, supporting event correlation, anomaly detection, incident prediction, and policy-controlled automation, is an added advantage.
- This role requires providing 24x7 operational support and working in rotational shifts
Recommended Certifications - Oracle Database Administration Certified Professional (OCP 19c / 23ai)
- Oracle Certified Expert (OCE) - RAC or Data Guard
- Windows 2019/22/ Redhat Linux 8.x/9.x
- ITIL V4
The pay range for this role is $95,000- $105,000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
