Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA with specialized expertise in Golden Gate replication and Python scripting to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of our database systems while also contributing to the development and optimization of our data replication strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database systems, including upgrades and patches.
• Manage and monitor Golden Gate replication processes to ensure data integrity and high availability.
• Develop and implement database management automation scripts to include install, config and maintenance jobs using python, and Ansible for configuration management.
• Develop and maintain Golden Gate/Database code repository using Bitbucket, Jenkins/Cloudbees pipeline
• Perform database tuning and performance monitoring to optimize system efficiency.
• Utilize Python scripting to automate routine DBA tasks and integrate database operations with other systems.
• Collaborate with development teams to advise on database design and help resolve complex technical issues.
• Provide 24/7 support for critical database services, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Document database architectures, configurations, and procedures.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Oracle DBA, with 8+ years focusing on Golden Gate replication environments.
• Proficiency in Python scripting for database task automation and system integration.
• Familiarity with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.
• Strong understanding of database security, backup, and recovery procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Oracle 19c and 21c databases.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
• Expert knowledge of Golden Gate replication strategies
• Some experience in python scripting necessary
• Writing and deploying automation using Ansible
