Location: Creekside Surgery Center
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Summary

As an Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse, you will provide essential nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgery while helping ensure a safe, efficient, and supportive surgical environment.

Responsibilities include:
  • Providing comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients throughout the perioperative experience.
  • Assisting surgeons and the surgical team in maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Administering medications and monitoring patient vital signs, fluid balance, and other physiological parameters.
  • Managing overall nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
  • Anticipating and providing necessary surgical supplies and equipment.
  • Collaborating and communicating effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Promoting patient safety and maintaining high standards of clinical practice.
  • Contributing to a positive, collaborative, and patient-focused team environment.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license with the Alaska State Board of Nursing.
  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience in an Operating Room setting.
  • Experience in an outpatient surgery center environment preferred.
  • Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • CNOR certification preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
