Job Description

BAE Systems - Weapon Systems is seeking a highly motivated Associate Program Manager to support programs within the Precision Guided Munitions Advanced Development organization. This role plays a critical part in ensuring successful execution of complex development and production efforts that directly support our Long Range Precision Fires (LRPF) portfolio.
You will collaborate across a diverse team of engineering, manufacturing, operations, and business functions to deliver high-quality products, meet cost and schedule commitments, and drive customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities

  • Support Program Managers in the day-to-day execution of LRPF development and production contracts, ensuring on-time deliveries and program performance.
  • Develop, maintain, and coordinate key program documentation including:
    - Program Plan of Execution
    - Risk and Opportunity Management Plan
    - Life Cycle Management artifacts
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities to meet technical, schedule, and cost objectives.
  • Assist in planning, tracking, and managing hardware deliverables, shipments, and internal production milestones.
  • Monitor and report on critical program metrics such as schedule performance, hardware throughput, on time delivery, labor and material performance to budget, and risk status.
    Prepare inputs for customer and internal status reviews, recurring team meetings, and executive updates.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams, manufacturing partners, and customers to drive program success.
  • Perform other duties as assigned/required commensurate with Associate PM responsibilities.


Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's degree plus 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Background in engineering, manufacturing, operations, or business environments.
  • Experience with cost and scope estimating, including ETC/EAC development.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate activities across teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance


Preferred Skills and Education

  • Advanced degree (MBA) or professional certification (PMP).
  • Experience in manufacturing, assembly, machining, welding, mechanical engineering, or operations leadership.
  • Background in program or project management, including EVMS, program controls, or coordination roles.
  • Experience working within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) or other cross-functional environments.
    International business exposure.
  • Advanced skills in ORACLE, Microsoft Project, or Microsoft Excel.

  • Hybrid/Onsite in Minneapolis, MN
  • Up to 10% travel
