Full Job Description

Position Summary:   Consults with large Public Sector clients to define complex needs or problem, conducts research, performs studies and surveys to obtain data, and analyzes data to advise on or recommend high-level or complex solutions. Sample projects include ERP system selection including requirements definition, ERP implementation management, ERP Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) and process redesign. 


Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to: 

·         Help build our reputation and deliver services to State and large government clients 

·         Conduct technology selection and implementations for large public sector systems 

·         Utilize project management skills and ensure client satisfaction 

·         Provide advisory support during implementations of ERP systems at the State level and across state agencies 

·         Conduct practice development activities that includes the development and execution of go-to-market plans, identifying and closing on engagements with existing clients and prospects, as well as developing a strong referral network for business development 

·         Participate directly in preparing and submitting proposals for generating new work 

·         Prepare and create presentations to display to clients 

·         Advise clients on implementation decisions and guide the implementation activities 

·         Progress into the management of small teams on projects 

·         Work with client staff at all levels with a focus on working directly with Project Management Offices and client leadership 

·         Facilitate design sessions and assist in documenting design decisions 

·         Perform business process analysis and future process design sessions 

·         Work side by side with other system implementors and software vendors during the implementation phase of ERP projects 

·         Serve as a subject‑matter resource for cooperative purchasing contract requirements across public sector clients

·         Interpret master agreements, participating addenda, and contract terms to support compliant engagement setup and delivery

·         Maintain oversight of contract eligibility, scope, pricing, and usage requirements

·         Manage ongoing compliance for NASPO ValuePoint contracts, including PASS and IT Research, Advisory, and Consulting (IT RAC) agreements

·         Coordinate quarterly reporting, administrative fee calculations, and payments

·         Support compliant invoicing and documentation aligned with NASPO and participating state requirements

·         Maintain compliance trackers, documentation, and audit‑ready records

·         Support internal education and guidance on cooperative purchasing best practices

·         Serve as a go‑to resource for questions related to public sector cooperative contracts

 

The qualifications. 

·         Bachelor's Degree in computer science, accounting, public administration or related field 

·         8+ years of recent or current experience in management consulting or the public sector industry 

·         Experience with selecting and/or implementing software solutions.  

·         Public Sector solution experience required, particularly in State government  

·         Experience in financial system implementations and business processes related to financial activities for the public sector 

·         Direct experience supporting public sector cooperative purchasing contracts, including NASPO ValuePoint

·         Familiarity with participating addenda, reporting requirements, and multi‑state contract compliance

·         Experience working in or supporting a professional services or consulting environment

·         Exposure to additional cooperatives (such as Equalis, 1GPA, OMNIA, or state master contracts)

·         Strong analytical, facilitation and problem-solving skills 

·         Strong knowledge of financial systems and processes within a governmental setting preferred 

·         Project Management Professional certification preferred 

·         Experience building and managing to a schedule 

·         Experience managing project teams desired 

·         Outstanding time management and organization skills 

·         Superior attention to detail and conscientious quality of work product 

·         Ability to work with client staff at all levels to include front-line staff and executives 

·         Professional demeanor with superior oral communication skills 

·         Ability to work independently, and part of a team 

·         Ability to travel

 

 

Education

Bachelors’ Degree in Business, Public Administration or related field is preferred.  CPA is desired.  

 Experience

Eight years+ of recent or current experience in a similar role is required. Experience on large ERP implementation efforts for large public sector organizations is preferred.  


Position requires travel.


This is an exempt position, so you will have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week.

The compensation range reflects the base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this position across our offices in the following regions: CO, IL, OH, and MA. Generally, experienced hires are not hired at or near the maximum salary range, as compensation decisions take into account a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to: responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
