Eaton's ES AMER NAS division is currently seeking a OpEx and Continuous Improvement Specialist. This role can be remote within the United States, but there is a preference for candidates in the Arden, NC area who will be working in a hybrid work environment at our Avery Creek facility.
What you'll do:The OpEx and Continuous Improvement Specialist is responsible for oversight of the Operations Excellence initiatives. The position will coordinate reviewing the Project Management Organization's activities and provide recommendations to improve overall customer experience. The position analyzes performance data, monitors Voice of Customer feedback, makes decisions and solves complex problems.
In this function you will: - Conducts Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) assessments and identifies performance gaps. Works through the leadership team to prioritize improvement activities and close gaps.
- Utilizes Lean and Six Sigma tools to eliminate waste driving customer satisfaction, cost reduction, and improved performance.
- Assists in improvement activities including training, mentoring, facilitating Kaizen events, Six Sigma projects, digital tool deployment, benchmarking, etc.
- Coordinates and assists with corporate initiatives, participating on teams in order to drive best practices across Eaton.
- Drives employee engagement and enhancement of problem-solving knowledge at all levels.
- Develop standard work standards and load balancing for productivity.
- Lead process improvement projects to reach service quality, efficiency and process repeatability.
- Design digital tools for new processes.
- Track and execute efficiency gains for process improvements.
- Plan, execute and manage projects to completion through continuous improvement.
- Develop and sustain employee training and development on lean concepts.
- Develop measurement systems in PMO supporting a lean philosophy.
- Lead value stream mapping exercises to determine and record business improvement areas.
- Develop and implement project plans to achieve Future State.
- Drive improvements in safety, efficiency, and customer experience.
- Act as a safety role model, taking initiative to make improvements, demonstrating a commitment to making safety a priority.
Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3 year of lean or continuous improvement experience

Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
- Experience leading continuous improvement projects.
- Six Sigma certification
- Excel programming experience (macros/VBA).
- Experience utilizing AI platforms like Copilot to assist with OpEx/CI projects.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in manufacturing environment

The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year.
