Full Job Description

Amentum is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations, Training & Quality Manager to support a mission-critical logistics program in Northern Virginia. This position serves as a key operational leader responsible for coordinating task order activities, supporting program execution, overseeing training and quality initiatives, and ensuring compliance with customer and contract requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with program leadership and customer stakeholders to drive operational excellence, workforce readiness, and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily operational coordination activities and maintain situational awareness across assigned workstreams.
  • Support execution of task order requirements, schedules, staffing plans, and program deliverables.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Task Order operational updates, customer communications, and status reporting.
  • Coordinate activities across customer and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless program execution.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain training programs, onboarding materials, refresher training, and workforce development initiatives.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and identify opportunities to improve employee performance and mission readiness.
  • Establish and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with contract requirements, policies, procedures, and customer expectations.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and process reviews to identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze operational and quality metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Assist with preparation of reports, readiness assessments, logistics tracking, and sustainment planning activities.
  • Support milestone reviews, customer meetings, and special projects as assigned.
  • Support recruiting and staffing activities, including candidate interviews, qualification reviews, and selection processes.
  • Travel between customer and company locations as directed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Project Management, Education, or a related field; equivalent experience may be substituted.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting government contracts, logistics operations, program management, training, quality assurance, or a related field.
  • Experience leading operational activities, training programs, quality initiatives, or workforce development efforts.
  • Strong understanding of operational processes, performance management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and reporting tools.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
  • Support recruiting and staffing activities, including candidate interviews, qualification reviews, and selection processes.
  • Travel between customer and company locations as directed. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CPLP/ATD, Lean Six Sigma, or related credentials.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Compensation Details:

US: $100,000 - $120,000 Annually
