Full Job Description
Reporting to EthosEnergy O&M (EEOM) VP Operations, the Operations Support Manager is responsible for providing fleet support to our global 30GW thermal and renewable power generation portfolio, to support transactional consultancy contracts and program development initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the VP of Operations, Operations Directors and Facility Managers to ensure that each EEOM Facility, covered by an O&M Agreement (OMA), is operated and maintained in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
  • As Project Manager, execute greenfield mobilizations and brownfield transitions to EEOM Care, Custody & Control per EEOM mobilization/transition process and procedure, with emphasis on utilizing lessons learned and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of O&M standards, employee training & qualification program, performance monitoring tools, and plant CMMS systems.
  • Support EEOM policy and program development and ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and commercial commitments.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Owner's representatives for projects assigned.
  • Assist with data tracking and analysis to develop trends contributing to proactive actions to ensure continuous improvement throughout EEOM.
  • Provide interim facility O&M team support.
  • Be a Quality Program advocate to lead and facilitate Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR), lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Management of Change (MoC) processes, and support Benchmark / GenSuite application implementations.
  • Participate in Reliability Program development and execution.
  • Support transactional consultancy projects.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Establish regular communications with Facility Managers and operations teams as assigned to discuss plant performance and problem resolution. Schedule periodic meetings with Operations Directors and Facility teams to build relationships and encourage communication.
  • Collect and analyze fleet data to develop fleet trends that can lead to proactive actions to ensure continuous improvement throughout the region.
  • Travel is required and a Valid US passport is a must.

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Thorough demonstrated understanding of power plant operations, including a working knowledge of O&M processes.
  • Strong fundamental understanding of HS&S programs.
  • Strong expertise in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Understanding of essential environmental concerns and permits as it relates to plant operations.
  • Working knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and Data Acquisition and Storage systems (e.g. OSIsoft Pi, GE Proficy, GP EP Archive, CEMS "DAHS" etc)
  • Working knowledge of water treatment programs and statutory regulations.
  • Analyze and interpret data to make sound professional judgments and recommendations.
  • Advanced competency in MS Office applications, to include MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Power BI.
  • Working knowledge of budgets, bid proposals, contract evaluation and basic accounting principles, plant economics and power pool operations.

Experience

  • Minimum of five years relevant experience in power plant operations and maintenance, with a minimum of three years in a plant management team role with fleet, regional or portfolio corporate responsibility preferred.
  • Experience with contract administration and supply chain / procurement.
  • Combined Cycle start-up, commissioning and major maintenance experience preferred.
  • Project Management/Control experience.

Education Requirements

  • A pertinent four-year degree or commensurate experience is required with a demonstrated track record of successful goal achievement.
  • Quality program or systems certification a plus.
  • Recognized and accredited professional project management training and certification, PMI, PMP, or equivalent is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk, reach, climb, and stoop and lift (up to 50 pounds).
  • Travel is required, mainly domestic US with occasional international travel possible.
