Overall Purpose of the Job
The Applications Engineer is responsible for the support and developing of opportunities from Sales, Operations and Engineering. This role will be the focal point for all operational issues and responsible for trouble shooting queries around all group departments and regions as required.
Key Activities and Accountabilities
The Applications Engineer will be responsible for the creation and development of technical documentation. Working closely with all teams and bridge the gap between sales, operations and engineering for all platforms.
The Applications Engineer will also be responsible for prioritisation of their own workload and schedule. The role will be responsible for ensuring Coretrax work standards are adhered to and delivered, meeting requirements, while demonstrating behaviours consistent with Company vision and core values.
The Applications Engineer will be required to support all Managers and Platform Leads according to business requirements.
The Applications Engineer is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following:
Develop opportunities identified by the Sales/Operations Teams, utilising our existing technology or modifying current technology to utilise in a new application.
Working closely with the Engineering group to develop the work-scope for new projects to support new applications.
Work with key customer to identify new applications.
Focal point for trouble shooting any queries received from the Operations and Sales teams. Focal point for investigative reports and any root cause analysis and in QA/QC matters.
Present new technical applications to Sales Team.
Support for Operations planning; including software - T&D, Innova Hydraulics, etc.
Travel to attend job sites globally as required.
Verify product prototype execution with in-house/field testing.
Present/Attend - production/client specific meetings as and when required.
Provided product training to the group as required
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions
Liaise with all staff to optimise instructions, procedures, spec sheets and production of new tools.
Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business
Adhering to the companies QHSE policies where applicable

Job Knowledge and Qualifications
2 plus years experience with proven experience in an engineering role, being able to demonstrate experience across all areas and, where possible, supporting less experienced personnel.
• Experience in providing technical solutions to clients in the Oil and Gas industry
• Highly motivated and organised
• Strong analytical skills with thdemonstrated ability to consider options objectively and make critical decisions.
• Able to think broadly and strategically.
• Excellent knowledge of Engineering best practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Results oriented with exceptional attention to detail.
• Customer focused (internal and external).
• Demonstrable track record of problem solving, multi-tasking and working to tight deadlines.
• Flexible and adaptable.
• Presentation skills in an industry forum setting.
• Have an excellent understanding of CAD, 3D modelling.
• Knowledge of stress analysis and fluid dynamics, Finite Element Analysis and MathCAD software.
• Have strong commitment towards QHSE.
• Have a clear commitment to the company and its success.
• Technical understanding and mindset (STEM - science, technology, engineering, maths)
• Proficient computer skills (ie MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Teams)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
