Full Job Description
Summary of Role:

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for supervising production and distribution center (DC) operations in a lean manufacturing, packaging, and warehouse environment; assisting the Senior Department Supervisor, Operations in coordinating the processing of materials and/or products in the manufacturing, packaging, and warehouse facilities; supervising employees while monitoring production output and quality of products; and assuring products meet quality and delivery requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), company policies, safety policies and practices, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Responsible at all times for ensuring that tasks are performed according to food safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Responsible at all times for promoting a safety culture and safety awareness within their area of responsibility. Support and enforce all plant safety policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Under the guidance of the Senior Department Supervisor, Operations, directs shift activities and processes to meet customer needs and assists with the capturing and reporting of plant KPI's.
  • Communicates with the Senior Department Supervisor, Operations regarding staffing levels, materials, machines, methods and metrics.
  • Assists with training employees in safety, quality, productivity, and operational requirements.
  • Provides clear and factual feedback to Senior Department Supervisor, Operations regarding corrective actions.
  • Leads team in ensuring continuous improvement and lean opportunities are communicated and executed.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all sanitation and good housekeeping procedures and guidelines are followed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Excellent communications skills - ability to communicate clearly and concisely in multiple media - verbal, written, etc.
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments in a fast-paced work environment, calm under pressure and flexibility to direct work force and adapt to changing schedules as appropriate.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite. SAP experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of production operation, including equipment, materials, workflow, etc.
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality at all times and in all situations.
  • Ability to maintain punctuality and predictable attendance.


WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment and clean room attire.
  • Moderate physical activity, requires standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day and up to twelve (12) hours per shift.
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform work onsite and be comfortable in a light industrial environment, including some exposure to non-toxic dust.


Shift Schedule : Friday to Sunday and every other Thursday 5PM to 5AM

Wage Range: $82,000 - $98,000 annually, DOE.
