Full Job Description
As the Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the facility and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards. You will oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance for all associates. You will ensure the facility remains clean, organized, and compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements. This includes coordinating staffing needs, supporting training, communicating expectations to the team, identifying and resolving operational challenges, and helping maintain a safe and productive work environment in a 24/5 operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple New York site locations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections and internal audits to identify unsafe behaviors and perform appropriate preventive actions.
  • Ensure the plant complies with applicable health, safety, and environmental laws and standards promoting associate engagement in safety.
    Identify operational issues, workflow gaps, process concerns, and implement solutions to improve performance and reduce risk
  • Lead the review and follow-up of site incidents, operational disruptions, quality concerns, and associate-related issues
  • Partner with internal departments and external vendors as needed to support multi-site operations, maintenance, compliance, and business needs
  • Ensure associates across New York site locations are properly trained on site procedures, safety expectations, equipment use, and company policies
  • Participate in regular reviews of site equipment, workflows, staffing levels, and operational processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Identify hazards and conduct risk assessments to implement controls and prevent incidents in the workplace.
  • Investigate accidents, near misses, and any incidents through appropriate root cause analysis, and implement preventive actions.
  • Develop, review and implement safety SOPs, OPLs, including safety programs and policies required for the operation.
  • Provide proper and effective training to the associates.
    Collaborate with Operations leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure procedures are followed, production goals are met, and site expectations are consistently maintained across all assigned locations
    Support internal and third-party audits, inspections, and walkthroughs related to site operations, safety, quality, and compliance
    Prepare, maintain, and submit site records, reports, schedules, performance updates, and other documentation as required by the company
    Monitor site cleanliness, organization, attendance, productivity, and overall team performance to support a safe and efficient work environment across multiple locations
  • Generate and discuss appropriate KPIs and drive continuous improvement with the team.
  • Additional duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational EHS, Science, Engineering or related is preferred.
  • 5+ years of Health Safety & Environmental (EH&S) experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Functional EH&S knowledge in safety, industrial hygiene, environmental, risk management, behavior-based safety training, auditing/program review
  • Multi-site experience is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and other state and Federal regulatory agencies/requirements
  • Proven track record in driving a cultural change in EH&S Ability to communicate and partner with all levels within an organization.
  • Must be able to prioritize and perform multiple tasks while meeting multiple deadlines in a very fast-paced manufacturing environment
