Summary of Position:The Operations Software Engineer I, II, III is an intermediate full-stack developer role responsible for delivering operational and analytical software solutions within an established architecture. This position designs, develops, and integrates applications and platforms focused on equipment operations, health monitoring, and data-driven reliability insights. Leveraging equipment telemetry data and technologies such as machine learning and AI, this role enhances equipment performance and supports the prediction of equipment failures. The individual will work closely with the Hive Technical Manager and a broader team of engineers and analysts to deliver maximum value from digital equipment monitoring systems.
Qualifications & Requirements:- A bachelor's degree in computer science, technical engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent qualification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- 2-5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficient understanding of development principles and techniques sufficient to take product ownership and ensure execution of business needs.
- Proficiency in React.js for building dynamic operational dashboards and historical analytical views.
- Experience developing and deploying .NET APIs hosted on IIS with robust data access patterns.
- Strong SQL skills across Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and MongoDB.
- Experience writing Python ETL processes for data pipelines, preparation, and transformation.
- Familiarity with front-end languages and tools including JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and SCSS/CSS.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and backend frameworks.
- Experience integrating and ensuring data flow from PLCs to edge computers and the cloud.
- Strong background in leveraging cloud technologies; experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools.
- Strong architecture, design, and code repository skills.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with Power BI for connected screen data visualization.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with InfluxDB for time-series data storage and retrieval.

Primary Responsibilities:- Develops and maintains React.js dashboards supporting both real-time operational views and historical analytical insights.
- Implements .NET APIs hosted on IIS, ensuring robust and reliable data access patterns for upstream and downstream consumers.
- Builds solutions for displaying meaningful data on connected screens; Power BI integration is a plus.
- Writes and maintains Python ETL processes to handle data pipelines supporting various operational and analytical needs.
- Engineers maintain the flow of data from PLCs to edge computers, cloud databases, web platforms, and downstream applications.
- Works within established design patterns and frameworks to deliver cohesive operational and historical solutions.
- Collaborates closely with the Hive Technical Manager and inter-departmental teams to develop innovative, aligned solutions.
- Ensures the reliability, security, and scalability of data integration processes.
- Troubleshot and resolved issues related to data flow and integration.
- Documents development processes, system designs, and operational procedures.
