- You will serve as an authoritative source of operations research information and advice within the organization.
- You will initiate, formulate, plan, execute, and applies new techniques, as well as original methods, to analyze important and unusual problems and to meet study objectives.
- You will define and conduct auxiliary research studies needed to collect all relevant data and properly analyze the assigned problem.
- You will identify and acquire data from relevant sources, repositories, and organizations that are relevant to a specific line of research.
- You will conduct or direct the preparation and manipulation of data in a manner that it suitable for the analysis required for the research.

QualificationsYour resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the
GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Applicants must possess:
A Bachelor's Degree in Operations Research
OR
At least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
