- Responsible for overall operations at an assigned plant including, but not limited to, supply management, production scheduling, manufacturing, shipping, warehouse, maintenance, people management, and implementation of change initiatives.
- Manage effective health & safety and all related compliance, quality assurance standards and training and development of assigned staff.
- Develops and manages budget for site operations
- Builds a safety culture and drives the implementation of safety policies and training in compliance with the company safety program and OSHA regulations to eliminate work-related injuries.
- Sets up a review process to analyze production, quality control, maintenance and operational data to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems.
- Confers with managers to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and obtain necessary data on customer orders and delivery.
- Plans, monitors and directs production and establish priorities, balancing effective customer service and cost factors and optimizing utilization of people and equipment within a just-in-time environment.
- Develops and implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality and safety.
- Oversees the revision of product schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure or operating problems and consult with Engineering on equipment modification and other continuous improvement efforts.
- Supervises schedules and evaluates the work performance of direct and indirect reports.
- Fosters positive working relationships and responds proactively to performance concerns; discipline; employee complaints, concerns or problems; and other employee relations matters.
- Ensures consistency in the application of Company policies and procedures.
- Partners with Regional Operations Leaders to manage the profitability for the plant. Active Champion of all quality and lean initiatives.
- 5 - 10 Years' experience in manufacturing, supply chain, materials management, logistics and quality control.
- 5+ Years' experience in Safety and Risk programs.
- Lean Manufacturing experience - green belt preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
