As Manager, you won't just manage routes; you will lead a team of frontline professionales, ensuring labs, hospitals, and pharmacies get what they need, when they need it most. this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, hands-on environment. You'll work closely with drivers, dispatchers, and healthcare clients to dleiver operational excellence every day.

We are currently seeking an Operations Manager to join our team in San Diego. The Operations Manager fulfills the company mission to help customers and business partners achieve their patient care goals through effective leadership and application of expertise in supply chain logistics. This person works with the executive team to establish and achieve long-range operational goals, financial objectives and deploy business strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 5 years of recent or current management experience in logistics industry, healthcare preferred (10+ preferred)
  • Financial and business acumen
  • Experience managing daily fleet operations within a regional or same-day market
  • Experience leveraging technology to drive decision making for daily operations
  • Experience adhering to compliance and security requirements
  • Ability to generate results: proven and verifiable history of sustained revenue growth
  • Ability to translate strategy to action
  • Strong team orientation and ability to inspire performance
  • Experience with Lean and JIT a plus


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Directly oversee the supervision and development of all Operation personnel including Operations Supervisors, Dispatch personnel, and Medical Courier Drivers (MCD's), supervise and coach office staff and managers.
  • Interact with customers at all management levels, to provide solutions, rates and services.
  • Oversee handling of urgent customer matters, from troubleshooting to successful resolution
  • Actively manage performance of operations team to achieve results and achieve continuous improvement
  • Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission as a medical courier service provider, specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning.
  • Oversee compliance of all owner operated vehicles.
  • Take ownership of deploying the company's operational policies and procedures.
  • Effectively collaborate with support services (HR, IT and Finance) through efficient and clear communication.
  • Play a significant role in long-term planning for local operations, including an initiative geared toward operational and customer service excellence.
  • Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the management team.
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal and State, OSHA, DOT, IATA and HIPAA regulations.
  • Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of service in emergency scenarios.
  • Monitor and supervise the financial impact of proposed logistics changes.
  • Collaborate to prepare and present monthly and quarterly customer reviews.
  • Support the company's growth and new customer acquisition.

  • Transportation and/or Supply Chain -- Knowledge of principles and methods.
