Full Job Description
Luminator Technology Group is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Operations Manager to lead our Bus division. In this high-impact role, you will oversee and optimize the planning, assembly, and logistics functions that power the delivery of our innovative bus solutions. As a key operational leader, you will drive cross-functional collaboration between production, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure products are delivered on time, meet the highest quality standards, and exceed customer expectations. Role is onsite at our Plano, Texas headquarters, Monday-Friday.

Essential Functions:
  • Operational Leadership: Lead and oversee daily manufacturing and assembly operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and alignment with production targets through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement strategies to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize processes using lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Resource Management: Manage labor, equipment, and materials effectively to meet production goals within budget constraints while partnering with HR to ensure staffing and team development.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all Bus products meet industry standards, safety regulations, and customer specifications by closely coordinating with Quality Assurance and addressing any production issues.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Work with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components, tracking inventory levels to prevent shortages.
  • Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, ensure operations adhere to relevant regulations, and lead initiatives to improve workplace safety and reduce incidents.
  • Customer Focus: Serve as the main contact for customers, ensuring production timelines and quality standards are met, while addressing any concerns related to delays or specifications.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA or Master's degree preferred.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 +years of experience in operations management.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred (electronic components preferred).

Other Skills:
  • Proven experience managing large, complex projects on a global scale within manufacturing or technology environments (electronic components preferred).
  • Solid understanding of engineering, production, and global supply chain management.
  • Strong knowledge of Bus industry standards and regulations.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and project financials.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Bus industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements within the Bus sector.
  • Proven experience with lean manufacturing principles and process optimization.


Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems (e.g. Syteline).
Certificates & Licenses: Lean Six Sigma certification, preferred.
