ROLE OVERVIEWThe Operations Manager shapes the Fanatics Commerce experience by serving as an athlete and fan advocate, owning the performance of inbound or outbound operations across multiple sub-departments. This role leads a team of 3-10 Supervisors and 50-350 athletes, inspiring high performance through effective communication, mentorship, and feedback, while reporting to the Sr. Manager of Operations. The Operations Manager delivers business and fan impact through BOLD leadership and execution excellence, leveraging data, automation, and AI-enabled insights.HOW WILL YOU DRIVE IMPACTSuccess is measured by the ability to deliver results through BOLD capabilities and measurable outcomes.Team & Leadership Impact (Build Championship Teams)Cross-Functional Leadership:• Serve as a liaison between supervisors, team leaders, athletes, and internal/external operations partners to gather information, resolve issues, and maintain alignment across departments.• Mesh effectively with the existing management team by operating as a strong listener, team builder, and articulate advocate of the collective operational vision.• Communicate company standards and policies, taking proactive corrective actions in collaboration with Human Resources to ensure compliance.People Leadership:• Inspire and lead a team of 3-10 Supervisors and 50-350 athletes, maximizing performance through training, motivation, and incentive programs.• Develop supervisors into bigger leaders by providing clear, constructive direction and ongoing feedback.• Manage staffing levels and scheduling to optimize performance, including leading the development of staffing forecasts needed to meet peak business demands.Fan & Customer Impact (Obsessed with Fans)• Model a culture of ownership in every customer and employee interaction, consistently valuing and appreciating the customer perspective.• Communicate with and understand the needs of both internal and external customers to ensure service levels and quality expectations are consistently met or exceeded.• Suggest innovative solutions that improve customer satisfaction while reducing cost, using data and operational insight to drive recommendations.• Monitor program effectiveness and report on productivity to senior leadership to ensure transparency and continuous service improvement.Innovation & Problem Solving (Limitless Entrepreneurial Spirit)• Display strong analytical and problem-solving skills, thinking beyond conventional approaches and leveraging available resources to find the right answers.• Oversee the development of ongoing process improvements to drive departmental efficiency, identifying opportunities to streamline operations and reduce waste.• Provide direction on support processes and setup to ensure consistency, productivity, and profitability across operations.• Determine and deliver best-fit solutions that drive revenue growth and cost reduction within financial constraints.Ownership & Execution (Determined & Relentless Mindset)• Manage the overall direction, development, and performance of the department and operations partners, both internal and external, driving strategic priorities and operational activities.• Effectively plan, staff, direct, and coordinate activities to maintain efficient storage and material flow while maintaining inventory control and departmental standards for productivity, reliability, and accuracy.• Manage a safe workplace by advocating training and accident prevention and preparedness practices.• Thrive in a fast-paced team environment, demonstrating active decision-making and the ability to handle difficult situations with composure and urgency.AI & DIGITAL CAPABILITYWe are building a future-ready organization. This role is expected to:• Apply AI and technology to improve efficiency, quality, and outcomes• Use data and digital tools to inform decisions and enhance performance• Demonstrate curiosity and adaptability in adopting new technologies and ways of working• Contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvementCAPABILITIES & EXPERIENCE YOU BRINGRequired Qualifications:• Minimum 5 years of Distribution or Warehouse management experience, with demonstrated ability to lead large hourly workforces across multiple operational sub-departments.• 3-5 years of Fanatics Commerce tenure, with deep familiarity with internal operations, systems, and culture.• Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, Lotus Notes, Internet, Mainframe, FMS, and DMS.• Demonstrated ability to analyze operational data and translate findings into effective courses of action.• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey direction to frontline teams and present performance insights to senior leadership.• Excellent planning and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize work, multitask, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.• Proven ability to gather detailed and accurate information and translate it into internal operation systems.Education:Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
