The Operations Manager, Aggregates is responsible for the development, leadership, and management of the operational functions and performance in their Market Area. The Manager will ensure alignment across all functional groups-including Environment, Land, Manufacturing, Human Resources, and Safety-to drive clear communication and consistency. This role's primary focus is building a strong team at each operation, ensuring safe and compliant operations, leveraging operational systems to drive toward excellence, and optimizing available reserves. Through this, they will lead a World Class Manufacturing Unit with the highest productivity at the lowest cost of production.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH - Promote safety culture through engagement with employees, JHSC and subcontractors with an objective of "zero" safety incidents. Develop, administer and promote and review safety policies, processes and procedures to maintain relevance while ensuring the site meets or exceeds all Amrize and Regulatory guidelines. Ownership of the implementation and management of all local and regional safety initiatives, providing feedback as necessary.
- Works closely with plant managers to develop a professional approach to operations management. Directly responsible for the individual development, motivation and training of the plant managers to promote customer focus, operational efficiency and skill development. As required, assist in the development, motivation and training of all related administrative, production and shipping personnel. Participate in the administration and management of local collective and hourly working agreements with site employees.
- Develop, implement and track maintenance, production and shipping processes and strategies to achieve targeted Key Performance Indicators (KPI's). Employ daily communication process with Distribution, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality to drive group efficiencies, manage inventories and production performance. Oversee and manage Local and National Contracts to ensure expectations and purchasing gains are met. Works with their team and the Manufacturing team to analyze capital needs and requests.
- Plan, drive and track financial performance using local/regional tools, assist in the development, implementation and management of annual repair budgets, promote financial analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities. Forecast profitability and production to optimize yield; support supply chain with balancing inventory and sales needs to manage and minimize working capital impact.
- Oversee monthly inventory reconciliation to assist Distribution in balancing area inventory levels in order to meet local demand. Schedule and plan production to maximize available shipping faces and minimize Truck Turnaround Time (TTT), while working with local Quality team to optimize product offering.
- Assist Land in the development, implementation and management of a sustainable mining plan with detailed stripping, production phasing and rehabilitation forecasts to ensure reserve optimization, while managing community impact.
- Work with the Environmental Department to develop, implement and manage operational standards to manage activities and mitigate our environmental impact.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships within the community by participating in local activities, events and committees through partnerships within the industry, local associations and the business community. Ensures that a plant image guideline exists to promote a professional image in a standard and consistent manner across the business and is well implemented / enforced.
- Participate fully in the senior leadership team for the market. Works closely with the Commercial Manager, Quality Control Manager and General Manager for the market to ensure all strategic goals and objectives are set and achieved.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOREducation:- University undergraduate degree in engineering, business, or relevant field
Required Work Experience: - A minimum of 5 years of progressive, relevant experience of which 2 years were spent in a supervisory role
Required Technical Skills: - Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent people management skills: ability to develop effective internal and external relations.

Travel Requirements: - 50% travel within the GTA
- 5-10% travel across the Central Canada Region or other Amrize North American locations
