Full Job Description
The Operations Manager provides full leadership and accountability for all plant operations, including safety, production, quality, maintenance, engineering, environmental compliance, and cost performance. This role drives a culture of extreme ownership, zero injuries, continuous improvement, and operational excellence while ensuring manufacturing objectives, budgets, and workforce plans are achieved. The Plant Manager develops and executes short- and long-term operating strategies, leads and develops leaders at all levels, and ensures adherence to company policies, labor standards, and safety regulations to deliver efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective operations.
Pay is $125k - $160k based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Direct and plan maintenance operations to maximize equipment uptime and production.
• Develop an effective machinery maintenance program, including preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Maintain close observation over maintenance operations, providing guidance concerning proper maintenance methods.
• Oversee the development and operation of maintenance data systems, delay reporting, inventory control, equipment history, and maintenance cost tracking.
• Maintain an attitude of extreme ownership over all plant operations, safety and performance.
• Drive for no injuries through communication, training and leadership by example.
• Develop, establish, and administer short- and long-term manufacturing and operating plans to meet established goals and objectives.
• Ensure adherence to established manufacturing plans and policies.
• Participate with the development and administration of plans for Maintenance, Plant Engineering and Environmental.
• Ensure adherence to established plans and policies.
• Coordinate and expedite manufacturing operations including such matters as production scheduling, engineering, procurement, production operations, tooling and maintenance.
• Employ proper motivating techniques and delegate appropriate authority to department managers to accomplish goals and objectives.
• Maintain supervision over production operations, coordinating with Maintenance, Plant Engineering and Environmental.
• Maintain conformance with budget, and proper utilization of personnel, equipment, and facilities.
• Counsel, coach and develop supervisors and nonexempt associates.
• Ensure that all departments follow established guidelines for safety, production, quality, and environmental quality.
• Optimize production schedules and meet quality and cost standards.
• Maximize production efficiency and continuously seek to reduce the cost of operations by developing new and refining current processes and utilizing the work force more efficiently.
• Oversee and direct the preparation of operating budgets for plant departments.
• Administer budgets and monitor budget compliance during the business year, taking appropriate corrective action in the event of a budget variance.
• Oversee and coordinate various programs and functions which are essential to the manufacturing process, such as safety, training, housekeeping, wage and salary administration, and plant protection and security.
• Maintain an adequate workforce to fulfill production requirements.
• Participate in the interview process for management positions as necessary.
• Lead and pursue strategies to enhance associate morale and maintain union-free environment and to maximize production efficiency.
• Oversee efforts which ensure conformance with Company work rules and regulations.
• Oversee efforts which encourage the use of safety equipment and devices while encouraging proper housekeeping to produce a safe work environment.
• Coach associates to eliminate hazardous conditions and work practices.
• Maintain awareness of improved operational methods, production processes, or equipment which improve quality and productivity and reduce waste.
• Oversee installation or modification of equipment via Plant Engineering and Maintenance responsibilities.

What We Need From You:
• Bachelor's in business administration or engineering or equivalent.
• Seven to ten years of experience.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Excellent root cause/corrective action and problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
