As our Operations Manager, you will take full ownership of high-impact branch operations, leading multi-disciplinary teams across complex, high-growth environments where safety, efficiency, and exceptional project execution are paramount. Reporting directly to the Branch General Manager and partnering closely with regional leadership, you will enjoy a high degree of autonomy to scale operating models, cultivate future industry leaders, and elevate customer outcomes. Splitting your time between dynamic branch leadership, field engagement, and key customer sites, this pivotal role offers an extraordinary platform to expand your executive footprint, mitigate operational risk, and directly steer profitability while positioning our branch for continuous, long-term expansion.

Key Responsibilities
• Direct daily branch operations to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards.
• Manage capacity planning, staff scheduling, equipment availability, and resource allocation across all active projects.
• Monitor key metrics including safety, gross margin, labor productivity, schedule adherence, and cost control.
• Coach and manage line managers, supervisors, and field leaders to improve performance and accountability.
• Partner with sales, engineering, finance, and HR on project handoffs, risk reviews, and capacity planning.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to labor shortages, compressed timelines, material delays, and subcontractor performance.
• Standardize operating procedures and workforce forecasting to support company growth and project volume.
• Make independent decisions regarding resource deployment, process improvements, and operational corrective actions.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• 5 plus years of progressive leadership experience
• 10 plus years of Building Automation Systems or HVAC Controls experience

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Construction Management, or Engineering.
• Proven experience leading managers, supervisors, cross-functional teams, branches, multi-team operations, and high-growth businesses, along with strong coaching and talent development capabilities.
• Track record in complex project delivery, organizational transformation, operational turnarounds, and managing operational risks in complex environments.
• Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, margin management, cost control, data-driven decision-making, and driving overall organizational performance.
• Strong English communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Relevant credentials in Lean, Continuous Improvement, Project Management, Safety Leadership, or industry-specific domains.

Pay Range
The expected base salary range for this role is between $110,500.00 CAD - $160,500.00 CAD annually. The rate of pay may be impacted by factors such as the applicant's geographic location, market data/range, skills, prior relevant experience, job-related knowledge, specific degrees and certifications, and/or other relevant considerations.This compensation includes components such as base salary, vacation pay, public holiday pay, potential estimated overtime pay and paid statutory leaves of absence. Additional benefits may include insured benefits such as health care, vision, dental, disability, as well as possible retirement contributions. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the province in which the applicant is to be employed.

Other Compensation
This role may also provide the opportunity to earn additional incentive compensation in the form of annual bonus, sales bonus, sales commission or local incentive. If the role provides for an opportunity to earn additional incentive compensation, it will be based on measurable performance factors which may include company performance, individual performance or other key performance indicators.
