What role you will play on our teamThe First Line Supervisor (FLS) is responsible for leading frontline production personnel and contractors in the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of upstream oil and gas facilities. The role provides direct oversight of field operations, workforce performance, equipment reliability, production optimization, and regulatory compliance while fostering a strong safety culture and operational excellence mindset.
What you will doKey Responsibilities- Lead and supervise operators, technicians, and contract personnel to safely execute daily operations.
- Champion Safety, Security, Health, and Environmental (SSHE) performance through effective application of Process Safety Management (PSMS), Permit-to-Work (WMS), risk assessment, hazard identification, and Stop Work Authority.
- Ensure safe and reliable production by monitoring wells, facilities, pipelines, compressors, pumps, artificial lift systems, and associated production equipment.
- Manage daily production activities, operational priorities, and performance targets while optimizing production and minimizing downtime.
- Coordinate maintenance, reliability, troubleshooting, startup, shutdown, and turnaround activities to maximize equipment availability.
- Conduct field inspections and audits to verify compliance with operating procedures, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Coach, mentor, and develop employees through performance management, workforce planning, and talent development.
- Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, drilling, completions, logistics, and business teams to ensure effective execution of operational objectives.
- Manage contractor performance, work scope execution, cost control, quality assurance, and safety compliance.
- Facilitate effective communication through shift meetings, safety briefings, performance reviews, and operational reporting.

About youSkills and Qualifications:- Strong safety leadership with expertise in PSM, PTW, risk assessment, incident investigation, and hazard recognition.
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, team development, and conflict resolution skills.
- Deep understanding of upstream production operations, well systems, gas compression, separation processes, pipelines, gathering systems, and facility operations.
- Strong troubleshooting and decision-making capabilities in dynamic operating environments.
- Knowledge of reliability fundamentals, preventive maintenance planning, work management systems, and defect elimination processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and align diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage operational risk, prioritize work, allocate resources, and drive accountability.
- Strong analytical and business acumen with experience using operational metrics and KPIs to improve performance.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in upstream oil and gas production operations.
- Technical degree, engineering degree, or equivalent operational experience.
- Demonstrated success leading production, maintenance, or field operations teams.
- Strong understanding of safe work practices, regulatory requirements, and operational discipline.
- Experience managing contractor organizations and cross-functional teams.
