  • Experience in DoW Financial Management and Comptroller operations, serving as the principal financial advisor and providing objective guidance to all levels of leadership.
  • Responsible for planning, organizing, and advising financial management functions, including the formulation, justification, defense, and execution of complex budgets.
  • Skilled in developing and enforcing financial policies and fiscal controls to ensure full regulatory and legal compliance.
  • Proficient in daily use of the Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System (DEAMS) to manage operating plans, monitor budget execution, and resolve funding issues.
  • Oversees key financial oversight activities, including all Quality Assurance Programs related to accounting functions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of military and civilian pay and travel systems, including DTS, DJMS, DCPS, and AROWS-R.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and statutes, including the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), DoW Financial Management Regulation (FMR) Vol. 7A/8/9, Title 5 and Title 37 U.S.C. for personnel entitlements, and the Antideficiency Act (Title 31 U.S.C.).
  • Experienced in applying analytical techniques, maintaining audit readiness, and ensuring full accountability of funds in support of mission requirements.
  • Prepares, examines, negotiates, and revises contracts to align with organizational goals, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensures contract compliance with internal policies, FAR requirements, and DoW Directive 70-1.
  • Creates, maintains, and updates financial databases and spreadsheets; generates required financial reports.
  • Strong communication, influencing, project management, and leadership abilities.
  • Writes and updates project documentation, including system procedures, presentations, and training materials.
  • Maintains current knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Experienced in briefing and directly supporting General and Flag Officers and Senior Executives.
  • Holds a BA/BS degree, or equivalent experience through 6 years of military service or 10+ years of relevant civilian work.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Experience: 6+ years of related military experience or 10+ Civilian Equivalent
  • Technical skills: Microsoft office
  • Security clearance level: Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Experience - US Government Military Systems and Financial regulations.


Optional Skills and Abilities:
  • Commercial finance and banking experience preferred
  • Experience - Special Operations preferred

The likely salary range for this position is $85,093 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
