Responsibilities

  • Ensure successful completion of daily job processing on the Core Processor to meet business objectives.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly processes to ensure seamless operations for the Credit Union.
  • Administer enterprise scheduling and system monitoring tools in the computing environment.
  • Manage and escalate issues in a timely manner to senior engineering staff and IT management.
  • Provide management reporting to ensure tasks are completed accurately and timely according to service level agreements.
  • Offer on-call support for the DSFCU enterprise and provide technical support for core processing interruptions.
  • Handle all maintenance activities related to the Core Processor including data updates and end-of-day/month processing.

Full Job Description
The Operations Engineer II provides organizational support and guidance to improve the internal and external customer experience using qualitative data. They collect, organize, analyzes, and summarize data to uncover process related gaps in the organization's delivery of service. The Operations Engineer II is critical to ensure related changes meet the business need / objectives, ensure it is clearly defined and a full end-to-end solution has been identified, agreed and understood by the impacted IT teams as well as the business users.

What you will do here:

Ensures that daily Job Processing (scheduling, system backups, posting files) on the Core Processor is successfully completed in order to support the business objectives of the organization.

Monitors daily, weekly, monthly processes and job routines to ensure seamless operations for the Credit Union and its membership across enterprise applications

Administer enterprise scheduling and system monitoring tools to manage the DSFCU computing environment including infrastructure, ATMs, messaging and enterprise applications.

Manages and communicates escalate issues / exceptions in a timely fashion to senior engineering staff and IT Management. Provides management reporting to measure and demonstrate processes and job are completed accurately and timely according to service level agreements.

Provides on call support to support the DSFCU enterprise. Provides technical support for the core processing system including any interruptions to operational service.

Responsible for all maintenance activity associated with the Core Processor including such activities as data updates, end of day processing, end of month processing and ACH processing.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

What you will need:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

4+ related work experience required.

1+ years Credit Union or Banking processing experience preferred.

Demonstrated expertise in database (queries), reporting and system monitoring; Process / procedure development and adherence, diagramming, implementation and improvement required.

Linux System and DB2 Knowledge required.

Effective and clear communication skills including open and direct verbal communication, clear and concise business writing, effective presentation skills, and good listening skills required.

Demonstrated competence using Microsoft Office Suite, (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
