ABOUT THE ROLE:The points below highlight the
Operations Director duties:
- Communicates best practices nation wide
- Initiates process improvement teams
- Confers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in the area
- Develops plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employee resources
- Reviews costs and makes changes/recommendations to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division
What projects will you work on in this role?You get to travel as needed: to possible include 75% in 1 90 days and 15-25% after 1 90 days. You will promote and ensure a clean and safe work environment but for food accounts, incumbent is responsible to report food safety problems to senior management to initiate action.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university
- Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 7 to 10 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience and/or knowledge of storage and shipment of food grade items preferred
- Experience with both inbound and outbound international shipments preferred
- Knowledge of labor management systems
