Job Description & Summary
The Opportunity

As a Commodities Senior Manager you will lead sourcing and procurement consulting work focused on improving operating efficiency, supplier collaboration, and supply chain resilience within our Operations Consulting practice. As a Senior Manager you will bring strategic advisory skills, sound judgment, and the ability to guide teams through complex client priorities while shaping sourcing strategies, procurement frameworks, and digital procurement solutions. In this role at PwC, you will work across client needs to identify cost reduction opportunities, support supplier relationship management, and translate market and commodity insights into practical operating strategies that support business performance.

Responsibilities

- Leading sourcing and procurement transformation initiatives for commodities clients, shaping strategies that improve cost performance and supply resilience
- Advising client leaders on strategic sourcing approaches, supplier selection, and contract negotiation for complex commodity categories
- Analyzing spend patterns, market conditions, and supplier performance data to identify savings opportunities and procurement risks
- Developing sourcing plans, category roadmaps, and procurement operating models that align with business objectives and sourcing requirements
- Guiding implementation of digital procurement tools, including SAP Ariba, Coupa Software, and GEP Software, to streamline purchasing activities
- Managing supplier relationship management, supplier evaluation, and contractual compliance monitoring across critical supply arrangements
- Directing teams through complex procurement programs, resolving issues that affect delivery, and calibrating priorities as conditions change
- Coaching team members, facilitating issue resolution, and helping shape clear recommendations for client stakeholders
- Applying systems thinking to connect sourcing decisions, supply chain collaboration, and broader operational impacts
- Presenting clear updates and practical recommendations to client leaders and internal stakeholders across multiple workstreams

What You Must Have

- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 7 years of experience

What Sets You Apart

- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Accounting, Business Administration/Management, Computer Science/Information Systems, Design/Multimedia, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Operations/Supply Chain, Organizational Management/Behavior, Project/Technology Management, Science
- At least one of the following: Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP), American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), Institute for Supply Management (ISM)
- Demonstrating procurement strategy development across complex commodity environments
- Applying systems thinking to sourcing, contract, and supplier challenges
- Crafting client messages that translate findings into clear business actions
- Coaching teams through ambiguity while directing issue resolution

Job Posting End Date

The salary range for this position is: $124,000 - $280,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
