  • Coach and mentor production team members, focusing on behavior and productivity.
  • Ensure operators follow all processes and confirm that solutions are effectively communicated across shifts.
  • Execute process confirmations on SOPs and work with teams to enhance quality and compliance.
  • Resolve issues related to systems such as ADP, PAS-X, and SAP while implementing process improvements.
  • Enforce safety and environmental standards in all operations.
  • Oversee training and development planning for shift operators.

Full Job Description
The Position

Serves as key member of shift production leadership team, providing operations support & coaching.

Relationships

Reports to Manager.

Essential functions
  • Acts as a process advocate, coordinating daily schedule with Work Cell Leaders & support groups, removing barriers & enabling processes to run optimally
  • Serves as coach & mentor for team members related to oral finished production, behavior & mindset by Visualizing / tracking events & actions
  • Confirming that operators understand & follow processes & procedures, Verifying solutions work are shared across shifts
  • Executes process confirmations of SOP's & JI's used on shift & work with process teams to proactively improve quality & compliance
  • Resolves / elevates issues related to systems such as ADP, PAS-X & SAP Implement process improvements
  • Observes & enforces all safety & environmental requirements
  • Manages development planning & training process for operators on shift
  • Assists with coordination of maintenance tasks on the line
  • Handles simple deviations & assists with unplanned production issues and Assists with Sample coordination
  • Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties, Other duties as assigned


Physical Requirements

Moves equipment or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. Routinely operates & inspects manufacturing equipment using hands, Strap & unstrap pallets using hands. Must be able to be on your feet for up to a 12-hour shift. May require corrected vision to 20/20 or 20/25 based on role. May require color vision based on role. Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder, May be required to work at elevated heights. Occasionally works around odorous & hazardous materials. May be required to wear latex gloves. May perform critical job functions in extremely cold work environments depending on site. May position oneself within confined spaces for inspection if required of the role. Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection. May be required to secure a motorized vehicle license & operate a motorized vehicle based on the role.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university with Five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing industry, required
  • In lieu of BS degree + five (5) years of experience, may consider an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with seven (7) years of experience in a manufacturing industry
  • In lieu of BS degree + five (5) years of experience, may consider a High School Diploma or GED with nine (9) years of experience in a manufacturing industry
  • Experience using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies & achieving sustainable process improvements, preferred
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly in writing & in presentations, preferred
  • Demonstrates knowledge of adult learning methodologies & can use multiple methods to train & coach others, preferred
  • Computer expertise in the following applications: MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SAP & LIMS, preferred
  • Experience planning, organizing, managing execution, checking results & revising work plans, preferred
