ROLE OVERVIEWVerition is seeking a motivated Operations Analyst / Associate to join its Post-Trade Support (Fixed Income Operations) team. This individual will support the post-trade processing of the firm's global fixed income business, working closely with Trading, Portfolio Management, Prime Brokers, Custodians, and counterparties to ensure the timely and accurate settlement of fixed income transactions while maintaining a strong control environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Support the end-to-end post-trade lifecycle for fixed income products, including government bonds, corporate bonds, agencies, municipals, repos, and money market instruments.
- Process trade allocations, confirmations, and settlements with custodians, counterparties, and prime brokers.
- Perform daily trade, position, cash, and settlement reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Monitor settlement activity and proactively manage failed trades, buy-ins, and aged settlement exceptions.
- Coordinate with Trading, Portfolio Management, Treasury, Risk, and external counterparties to resolve operational issues.
- Process coupon payments, principal repayments, maturities, corporate actions, and other fixed income lifecycle events.
- Ensure accurate security master and static data maintenance.
- Monitor daily cash movements and settlement funding requirements.
- Execute daily operational controls and ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures.
- Assist with month-end reporting, audit requests, and regulatory support activities.
- Participate in system enhancements, automation initiatives, and process improvement projects to increase operational efficiency.
- Maintain documentation of operating procedures and support business continuity initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS- 2-5 years of operations experience supporting fixed income products within a hedge fund, asset manager, investment bank, broker-dealer, or custodian.
- Working knowledge of fixed income trade processing, settlement, reconciliations, and lifecycle events.
- Familiarity with products including Treasuries, corporate bonds, agencies, municipals, repos, and money market instruments.
- Experience interacting with custodians, prime brokers, and counterparties.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Bloomberg, CTM, SWIFT, or reconciliation platforms is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
