Full Job Description
Develop, lead and plan Manufacturing Engineering initiatives which will result in significant advancements in productivity, product cost, quality and/or the maintenance of the plant facilities equipment and its production process. Perform a wide variety of engineering and technical tasks involving the application of engineering knowledge and the development of solutions to complex problems pertaining to products, materials, manufacturing processes, tests, and unique design applications. Manage Industry 4.0 projects including automation, Digital core, lloT, additive manufacturing, systems integration at the Cleveland, TN plant and manage project objectives and timelines. Develop approaches to solving problems in processes, tooling, equipment, facilities, and cost utilizing Industry 4.0 methodologies. Guide and support plant teams on machine connectivity and data acquisition activities. Assist manufacturing teams in the development, submission and approval of business cases for Industry 4.0 project opportunities. Train key plant personnel on the industry 4.0 tools and technologies being deployed to ensure successful adoption and achieve improvement objectives. Develop knowledge and expertise in the industry 4.0 tools and technologies to be a subject matter expert (SME) for the Cleveland, TN site team. Establish and maintain project expenses and capital expenditures with pre-established budgets and timelines. Assist in the development of technical, engineering and support talent. Provide technical expertise or support related to automation and manufacturing processes. Position is fixed location based in Cleveland, TN; however, telecommuting from a home office location may also be allowed. 40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Technical Science or a directly related field plus three (3) years of experience with reading and using wiring, connection, schematic, and ladder logic diagrams to troubleshoot control systems. Experience must include: Three (3) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently): • Controls engineering, programming, additive manufacturing, big data and analytics. • Machine connectivity, communication protocols and data management. • IT infrastructure and system integration. • Computer and software tools - including advanced Excel capabilities (i.e. pivots, macros). • Selecting and installing PLC hardware and software. One (1) year of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently): • Programming robotics or other automation in support of the manufacturing process Skills: All positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
