Full Job Description
The Operational Loss Risk Execution Lead is responsible for establishing routines to ensure effective and efficient execution of the centralized, end-to-end risk management lifecycle for internal and external operational loss events across Truist (e.g., internal process execution errors, data breaches / cyber-attacks, third-party incidents, etc.). This includes developing routines for resource pipeline management, governance and oversight of centralized loss event identification and assessment, capture and documentation, and risk and control evaluation. The lead would oversee, coordinate and evaluate performance of Operational Loss Events Execution Officers aligned to each Business Unit and Corporate Function. The role uses professional judgment to ensure adherence to enterprise operational risk management policies and procedures to ensure complete, accurate, and timely delivery of loss event records. ******Position is office centric 5 days within one of the following office locations: Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA, Greensboro, NC, or Raleigh, NC. **** ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Establish and drive operational routines to ensure loss events are being appropriately identified and assigned to ensure timely execution of the end-to-end risk management lifecycle. 2. Serve as an escalation point for Business Unit stakeholders to ensure timely, complete collection of required loss event information. 3. Ensure maintenance of contact matrices and relationships for key partners across Business Units and Corporate Functions. 4. Oversee loss event evaluations in alignment with enterprise procedures, including ensuring consistent event classification, financial impact capture, and causal factor documentation. 5. Monitor to ensure all required data elements are accurately documented and maintained within the system of record (e.g., Archer) in accordance with established SLAs. 6. Establish internal ECCO procedures and guidance in accordance with enterprise operational risk management policy requirements. 7. Monitor loss event risk management lifecycle progress, identify data gaps or delays, and ensure follow-up with stakeholders to ensure timely completion. 8. Resolve issues related to incomplete information, delays, or challenges in the loss event risk management execution lifecycle as appropriate. 9. Manage relationships with second line of defense risk partners to ensure requirements are met for material loss events. 10. Establish performance indicators and quality review processes to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of loss event records. 11. Support training and onboarding of new teammates and establishment of best practices across the team. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data quality management skills. 8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and risk management systems (e.g., Archer).
